16 Hours of Sleep

Perhaps this is the infamous down side of having energy drinks. Perhaps this is what happens to people who don't eat proper meals and sleep proper hours for a couple of weeks, relying on energy drinks and canned soup to survive. For that moment, I glimpsed what it felt like to have the bi-polar disorder...

It should have been wonderful. Having the first proper meal in about 2 weeks. Going to...

for some nice seafood platter.

Having some wine. No I didn't actually, I just liked the look of wine glasses, but never touched a single drop of alcohol..

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Being awed by the huge double tier seafood platter consisting of both cold and hot stuff. Sure beats canned soup any day.

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
For anyone planning to get the seafood platter, don't bother, because only the top tier is worth eating. The skewer was awesome stuff- fresh fish fried in batter, fresh prawns. The fish and chips was heaps good too, all hot and crispy (and oily too of course, but you can't really care about that when you're having fish and chips).

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Still going on the top tier- lobsters, NOT filled with cheese and mash potato, but actually fried with butter and herbs. Lots of flesh~

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Top tier- pot of mussels. Don't bother with Jordon's mussels, seriously, those aren't even considered mussels, they are puny... I'd much rather go to the Bavarian Bier Cafe for their pots of mussels and to-die-for chips with mayo on a Wednesday night. Cos that's when it's half price.

Still going on the top tier- some oysters with crispy bacon. Did I ever say I like bacon? A lot? Yea, I like bacon a lot.

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Then you come down to the second tier and I don't even want to talk about it.

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Grr. The crab wasn't too bad, neither were the oysters, but in all honesty, I'd much prefer just going to the fish market, which actually isn't all too far away from Jordon's. Their squid salad was a major disappointment, and basically all their cold stuff were too. If I could just order the top tier of the platter (and pay for only that too), I would.

From Weeks 21-25, 2011
Actually, maybe that meal at Jordon's wasn't the culprit to my fever that night. Maybe that damn fruit ice blend was. tt told me before that those stuff are nasty and can give anyone food poisoning. It never did for me, so I continued having them.

Then I got home and was sick. Put myself into bed and slept for 16 hours, vaguely hearing the rain outside and feeling warm. Extremely warm. Abnormally hot.

Needless to say, I'm never going back to Jordon's, whether it be their fault or not. Perhaps if I didn't fall sick that very night, I might not be so biased against it. In fact, I might think it's actually not that bad. Alas, it happened and I blame them for my plight. At least I managed to use my 2010 entertainment card one last time before it expires end of this month.

That's a shame, the seafood looks pretty good from the photos. The culprit would probably be the seafood.. usually if it's not nice it's not fresh =P The ice blends I said that would give food poisoning are the watermelon ones they have in summer.

oh ok, I didn't have the watermelon blend... the seafood does look nice, but I would have exchanged all that for just their fish and chips ^^''
